It appears the famously curvy Sofia Vergara isn’t being straight with us.
The Colombian bombshell said Saturday on the social site WhoSay that she and fiancé Nick Loeb had called off their engagement because their jobs were forcing them to spend too much time apart. But insiders tell us there’s a little more to it.

“He’s always trying to use her success to make himself successful,” a source says of Loeb, a failed politician who now owns fried-onion topping brand Onion Crunch. “I think she’s finally started to see him as the opportunist he really is.”

The condiment impresario — who is, of course, an aspiring actor — recently even tried to snag a role in “Don’t Mess With Texas,” the movie Sofia is shooting with Reese Witherspoon. “He told her agent not to tell Sofia about it, because he wanted it to be a surprise,” says the snitch. “Ofcourse, he didn’t get the part.”

The two got together in 2010 and split in May 2012, only to get engaged two months later.
Loeb seems to be getting over the heartbreak already — he was at Hamptons hot spot Georgica on Monday night, flirting with a brunette.
